Jane and I moved to beautiful Boulder last summer with the invaluable help of our realtor, Paul Calcagno. In fact, we feel very lucky to have chosen Paul as our realtor. His knowledgeability coming from 30+ years of experience allowed him to know better than we ourselves what our true needs were and how best to meet them. Although we were set on buying a house here, Paul counseled us to keep an open mind, and in fact we ended up with a townhouse that is simply perfect for us. Paul knew exactly which kinds of homes and neighborhoods in Boulder would most appeal to us, and he showed us everything we wanted to see and more, filling us in on the pros and cons of both the neighborhood and the house. His extensive experience as a home builder allowed him to evaluate the house in question in a much deeper and more thorough fashion than the average realtor. Once we decided on which home we wanted to be ours, he proved to be a skillful...and successful...negotiator. Being a builder also led Paul to offer some wonderful suggestions on how we might make a few reasonable renovations that would bring out the best potential our new home had to offer. We took his advice and now can't imagine living in the home as it was before we made these improvements.
